Heritage Open Days 19th & 20th September
A Little House and a Grand Town Hall
Town Hall, Market Place, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 1DU
Group tours with our volunteer guides to see behind the scenes at Newark Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery.
Special tours to visit the little house, which we promise is very little, as well as the Mayor’s Parlour, still used by Newark Mayors today, and the Twinning Room. See parts of the building you would not normally have access to in these 45 minutes tours. You will also be able to see objects from our collections store that are not normally on display. Whilst numbers on the tours are limited to 6 per tour, the Town Hall Museum and Art Gallery will also be open to all visitors, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm and does have disabled access.
Tour Times
Friday 19 September
Times 10.45; 11.45; 12.45; 13.45; 14.45.
Saturday 20 September

The tours will be conducted via several Georgian staircases, which do have handrails, but also have tight curves. Visitors must be able to negotiate these; unfortunately, due to these restrictions of Georgian architecture, there will be no disabled access to the tours.
