Over the years, the Friends have made many contributions to the Town Council's collections which have ranged from conservation, purchase of paintings, a Touch Screen and making Georgian costumes for children. The group has also been particularly keen to enhance the art gallery collection of local artists for visitors. These include works by Peter Brannan, William Caparne, William Harold and Henry Hadfield Cubley, Fanny Easterfield, Robert Kiddey and William Nicholson.
